Competitive Bidding: Call to Action
As you are all aware the Final Rule has been released and includes wheelchair seating as competitive bid items when ordered with power wheelchairs. Including cushions in a competitive bid category of power wheelchairs is crazy. This will lead to major confusion, extra administration costs with no tangible financial gain to Medicare.
It is time to bring this to CMS' attention and request a change NOW! We need everyone in the industry to contact CMS directly to challenge this. Letters can written to the address below:

We are proud to announce the promotions of Laura Raigoza to Vice President, Sales and Marketing and Jill Girard to Director, Sleep and Respiratory Sales. An overview of their responsibilities is below.
Responsibilities of the Vice President, Sales and Marketing include, but are not limited to, contract negotiation, policy and procedures, marketing campaigns, customer service, product management, demo tracking, sales forecasting, goal setting and implementation, sales contests, website development, associate management and manufacturer point-of-contact.
Responsibilities of the Director, Sleep and Respiratory Sales include associate training, manufacturer updates, territory management, product updates, new product introduction and goal setting.
The Vice President, Sales and Marketing and the Director, Sleep and Respiratory will work together to develop and support the sales goals of MSL Associates, Inc. and its manufacturers.
